YOURSELF
Keep yourself always neat & tidy.
Bath daily, trim your nails.
Wear clothing suited to the occasion.
Brush your teeth daily, polish the shoes and change socks daily.
Do not drag the feet while walking.
Do not shake legs while sitting.
While yawning, sneezing, coughing – use handkerchief or cover the mouth with the hands.
Use sinks to spit or use handkerchief.
Always have a pleasant outlook, keep smiling.
Do not bite off your finger nails.
Comb your hair neatly.
Keep your belongings clean.
Keep your text books and note books tidy.
Do not draw pictures or scribble your name all over the books.
SHOWING RESPECT
Wish your parents, brothers, sisters, teachers and elders cheerfully.
Obey your elders.
Be kind to your elders.
Help generously in whichever way you can.
Do not laugh at others if they have made a mistake.
Always ask permission.
Respect your National Flag and National Anthem.

If you want to walk ahead of others, say ‘excuse me’ and go ahead.
Never sit on the table, use chair.
Never show discrimination.
Never take leave unnecessarily.

IN THE CLASS ROOM
Do not talk to each other loudly.
Do not talk and disturb others.
Stand up while you want to say something.
Don’t interrupt others while they are talking to the teachers, wait for your chance.
Always give the answer one by one.
Speak politely and friendly to your class companions and other student of the school.
Be generous while others are in need of your help.
Make friend with everyone.
Keep your Class room neat and tidy.
Keep a piece of cloth or a blotting paper in your pencil box to clean the pens.
Do not waste papers by tearing from your notebooks, use rough paper.

AT THE TABLE

When eating lift the food to your mouth. Do not lower the head to your plate.
Avoid filling your mouth to its utmost capacity. Keep the mouth closed while chewing.
Do not talk with the mouthful.
Do not belch aloud.
Do not place the waste on the table but leave them in a corner of the plate.
Remove the waste from your mouth using the hollow of your hand.
Eat and drink noiselessly.
Do not blow over your coffee or tea to cool it.
Avoid drinking from the saucer.
Give preference for your guest.
You should not bite off from a big fruit or morsel, but cut it into bites or break it into pieces and eat.
If you have cough or sneeze, turn your head away from the table and use a handkerchief or put your left hand in front of your mouth.
Avoid giving the impression that you are greedy or engrossed only in eating.
Don’t look curiously at what other are eating.
It is a bad habit to lick your fingers palm or wrist.
Never waste food.
Throw the left over in the dustbin.
IN THE PLAY GROUND
Follow the rules of the game.
Never be rough or snatch games materials.
Take care of the common goods.
Do not throw sweet wrappers on the ground.
Do not feel sad when you lose a game.
Shake hand with the team that has won.
TAKING CARE OF COMMON GOODS
Switch off the fans and lights after use.
Close the taps after use.
Do not pluck flowers or destroy the plants or break pots.
IN THE TOILETS
Do not talk in the toilets.
Keep the toilets clean after use.
Close the taps after use.
IN THE BUS
You have to sit down while travelling.
Do not put your heads and hands out of the window.
Never rush to get in or out of the bus.
Walk on the footpath.
Do not board or get down from a moving bus.
When you cross the road look both left and right.
PLEASE REMEMBER
Avoid sarcastic remarks.
Refill ice cube trays.
Never cheat.
Smile a lot, it costs nothing and is beyond price.
Pay your bills on time.
Turn off the T.V. at dinner time.
Keep your desk and work area neat.
Be punctual and insist on it in others.
Avoid negative people.
Become the positive and enthusiastic person you know.
Don't carry a grudge.
Commit yourself to constant self-improvement.
Don't waste time grieving over past mistakes, learn from them And then move on.
When complemented, a sincere thank you is the only response required.
Be a good loser.

Praise in public.
Criticize in private.
Know the value of money and the importance of saving.
Don't be deceived by first impression.
Seek out the good in people.
